Frequently asked questions
Can I stay in the house while the work is done?
Sometimes, depending on the scope. If the work is limited to one room and the services are not being moved, it is often possible. In a full refurbishment, where kitchen and bathrooms are out of action and there is dust everywhere, it is usually not advisable. We will tell you honestly which of the two your project is once we have seen it.
Do you handle the trades, or do I have to coordinate them?
We do. You deal with one person from start to finish. Bricklaying, plumbing, electrics, carpentry and finishes are organised by us in the right order, which is precisely what stops a project from dragging on.
Do I need a permit to renovate?
It depends on what you are doing. Cosmetic work is not the same as moving walls or altering services. Each council sets its own criteria, and those are the ones that count. We will tell you what your case is likely to need and we can help you with the paperwork.
Can I choose the materials myself?
Yes. That is exactly why we have the showroom in Mataró: so you can see and touch kitchens, bathrooms, worktops and finishes rather than choose from a screen. If you already have something in mind, we work with it.
Why do you not give a price over the phone?
Because a figure given without seeing the property is a guess, and guesses tend to be wrong in the client's favour until the work starts. We prefer to visit, understand the state of the services and the starting point, and then give you a detailed breakdown you can actually compare.
